What has he been doing?!

“I will continue to closely monitor the situation in our financial markets and consult with my economic advisers,” President Bush said Thursday in a two-minute address from the Rose Garden.
He hasn't taken questions since August and instead of dealing with the failing economy he is entertaining foreign leaders with dinner and a show by some of the performers of Lion King. I don't know how he finds the time when there is more important things he should be doing.
But he does have good taste in Broadway shows.

I think that he knows his time is soon over, and rather stress himself out over things, he will let that become the responsibility of our new president. In the mean time, improving foreign relationships with other countries isn't such a bad idea. It might not be the best thing to do, but since when has President Bush been known for making great decisions?

Its all over the news that the government is bailing out these major companies, what if we didnt. would there be some major conseqence if we didnt. Even though people all around the united states lost a big chunk of the retirement funds and such, it could have been much worse.

A lot of the attention in politics have shifted to the presidential candidates and their vice presidents... I think Bush understands that he shouldn't be taking big actions influential to the economy right before elections. Or maybe he's preparing for a permanent vacation from his eight year term...

I think that Bush knows that he's done. But it still angers me to know that he has given up in a way. Because since he does support McCain shouldn't he want to be asked polictal questions and then play up McCain and put down Obama? Bush needs to get his priorities straight and stop acting like a little girl and face the facts that yes he is out of the white house soon his job of being the president of the united states isn't over with until that day in Feb.

I apologize for what im about to say, but Bush is a nutcase. Its not like he ran our country anyways. For all we know some random person who works for him is running everything while Bush sits back and watches the little mermaid and whatnot, then when the time comes, Bush reads word for word (or he tries to anyways) off the paper what "he" is doing for our country.

How many more days until Obama becomes president?

I guess Bush is just trying to enjoy the rest of his presidency. Nothing beats watching Broadway with some good old friends. lol

Bush needs to pick it up and do something to fix the economy. Hopefully Bush will execute his 500 billion dollar plan well. Giving up should be the last thing on Bush's mind, because this would be a horrible way to go out if he doesn't act soon. It sucks that the next president will have to start out with this mess, but I believe that if Obama is president then his tax policy towards the wealthy will help out the economy.

Maybe Bush is trying to stay out of the spot light and give the new candidates the attention of the public. Democrats and Republicans have both been disappointed by President Bush; do we really expect him to be making major changes to anything at this point in his presidency?

It's not a very good idea to tell everyone that his advisors are dealing with it when everyone already hates him and his advisors already. I guess the lion king would be more important to him than our failing economy.

It's disappointing that this is how Bush is going out. Rather than trying to remedy the terrible situations he's made, he's out entertaining. He is still President until January. At the same time, I don't really think anyone wants Bush to make any more decisions for the US.
