Obama, Reaching Outside the Bubble
Every morning, President Obama receives a package of 10 letters that are randomly selected from over 40,000 letters that are sent to the White House every day. These letters are sent by students and teachers, small-business owners and the unemployed. The exercise is intended to provide Obama with a glimpse beyond the White House walls and the Secret Service perimeter into what the president sometimes refers to as "the real world."

I think this is great because it shows that he's trying to change the nation and the world and wants to hear the words of the people.
i like this idea. But i wonder if the letters are from all over the united states or just from d.c and Virginia. cause if you don't know northern Virginia is doing quite well.
This is awesome this gives me a feeling that he truly does get a chance to see the "other side". I would also like to know where the majority of these letters come from.
this is a really cool idea. i'm actually starting to like obama more and more...i wonder if this was his idea. or if he's the first president to do this.
