Powers Involved With Transition

Samantha Powers, the Harvard professor who was forced to resign from Barack Obama's campaign after calling Hillary Clinton a "monster", is advising Obama on matters related to the State Department, where Clinton is slated to lead. Powers is part of the transition team reviewing the national security agencies, an area Clinton and Powers are sure to cross paths. Although transition officials declined to comment officially, those close to it have suggested too much was made of the comment and that moves have been made to patch things up with Clinton, who accepted. If these claims are true, this could pave the way for Powers to re-emerge as a key adviser after being barred for months from appearing on television in relation to Obama's campaign.

Although too much was made of her comment calling Hilary Clinton a "monster" I think it would be difficult for the two to work together in the future. Powers claims to have made efforts to patch things up however some underlying animosity must remain at least on Clinton's part.

I think that this is a perfect example of the media blowing things out of proportion. Of course everybody in the government isn't going to agree with everyone else. These people are not toddlers; they are grown and mature adults who are capable of dealing with national and world issues. I'm pretty sure, for the sake of the United States, POwers and Clinton will be able to work together despite the petty namecalling. This shouldn't even be that big of an issue. There are many worse things that people have said about Hilary, and she has gotten over those just fine.

If Powers was passionate about her position she was going to hold with Barack Obama then she defiently should have thought more carefully in shoosing her words when speaking of someone so well known and powerful.
Girls being girls i'm sure the media will be ALL over whatever happens when the two actually start working together.

I think this is ok. a good government is not run by only orange circles. No, its run by alot of different shapes and colors. What im saying is that sometimes you just need that devils advicit to spice things up and get the creative juices flowing.
