Oh no! I have the pre-packaged peanut butter crackers in my lunch like everyday! I better check and see who makes the crackers.

Maybe more people will eat healthier foods after reading this article. Finding Salmonella in peanut butter is definitely not good, but the bright side is that maybe more people will think to eat better foods.

^ what's wrong with peanut butter? It's a good source of protein.

I guess that classic pbj won't make it into our lunch bags for the next few days.

I'm just curious as to if our agriculture system has some responsiblity in all these breakouts or is it just some natural bacteria that just happens to be life threatening.

I guess people have to be even more careful about food now. It probably will affect a lot of students' daily lunch menu because that's probably the most common lunch among students around the nation. Hopefully the FDA will check thoroughly and have healthy peanut butter back in stores quickly.

That really sucks that they're finding Salmonella in peanut butter. A lot of people eat peanut butter every single day. It makes you wonder what the production companies are really doing while they're supposed to be working.

I am absolutely furious about this! Peanut butter sandwiches are my life and now my mom wont let me touch the stuff! Now i have to actually eat real food which really grinds my gears. Someone has to fix this fast.

I just ate apple slices with peanut butter.... :(
But somehow reading this doesn't make me scared or worried. It can't possibly be applied to ALL peanut butter companies right? Unless they come up with something bizarre like: peanut butter is toxic to the human body.

Of course, there is always a positive side to this mayhem. Most of us are pretty habitual about eating peanut butter but now we can get all the nutrients by eating other foods. I read in an article that it is mostly from the kellogs line brand of peanut butter and it is on recall. guess we have to stick with jelly.

Hopefully this will help provide more reason for restrictions on the industry, as well as more food regulations.

This is not the first peanut butter-related outbreak, nor the last most likely. I don't see this as a reason to stop eating peanut butter, after all the threat of getting salmonellosis from undercooked poultry/pork/eggs is ever-present, and I don't think it's turning many people into vegetarians.

I don't believe any amount of restrictions can make the average worker pay extra attention to sanitation.

Though the FDA has extended its warning, there are still going to be those people who think they can overcome the odds and eat it anyway. Those are the same people who end up feeling the affects of karma, so let's hope people take this seriously and wait until the FDA says it's ok to eat peanut butter. After all, I'm sure no one will die from not eating peanut butter.

I really don't like this article, because honestly can you really get salmonella from peanut butter? I can understand getting it from what? like chicken or the lettuce thing but peanut butter? Seriously? Its not the peanut butter it's whatever they are making it in I bet.
