Why should foreign wars dictate our gas prices? In the past week the price of oil is up 25%. You may have noticed the gas station on Branch St is now at $1.65 per gallon for regular. Experts say it will make it to $2.00 by the spring. We have been spoiled

Because foreign relations are what give us a lot of our gas supply. I didn't mind being spoiled though. We all knew it would probably go back up eventually. We'll have to keep taking advantage of it while things are at ease.
It is a sad reality but we just have to accept it. Other nations such as colombia rely on their natural resources way more than we do. As a developed nation, we are better at using resources we acquire from other nations than selling those resources.
Perhaps this is a good sign, meaning that the economy is bouncing back on its feet. Now that gas prices are raising, we still need to conserve so that it doesn't go back to the $4 it was.
I think people were getting so used to the low prices they are going to be shocked if they go back up fast. It was nice while it lasted, but pretty inevitable that they were going to go back up. Hopefully the president-elect will help with the economy, and the recession. Change should do us some good.
well they do control the supply so americans really dont have a choice. in 50 some years all the usable crude oil on earth will be gone anyway.
well it was nice while it lasted. and poor hummer owners will probably have to keep it in their garage for another year or so. however i alsos think this is a good sign because it means we're on our way to having the economy how it used to be more or less.
I guess it's a good sign that our economy will probably be better in the spring than it is now. However it is really sad to see the gas prices rise up so quickly. I guess we can't have a good economy AND low gas prices. Let's just hope that the prices won't rise to $4+ a gallon when summer comes!
I definitely don't want our gas prices to go back up, but it was inevitable. Also, while our gas prices were below $2.00 I felt like America was living a lie. Gas hasn't been that inexpensive since before the beginning of our economy's path downwards. Now that gas prices are bound to go back up, more people will continue to buy more efficient cars. The act of buying more efficient cars may or may not help the American car companies that are failing to survive.
It was nice to have the low gas prices but it was pretty much a given that they would go back up and people are going to be shocked when they do. Hopefully Obama can do something beneficial to help the economy get back on its feet.
Since prices can rapidly go down, they can also rapidly go up as well. We should not be getting used to the gas prices we are seeing today.
Everyone knew that these prices wouldn't last, so it comes as no surprise, and no one should really be disappointed by the rise in prices. In fact, no one even expected prices to go this low in the first place, so we've really been living in luxury for the past few months.
We all got so used to paying so little for gas, over the summer would pay close up to 60 dollars to fill my jeep up but now i only pay like 25-30. In a perfect world the prices would stay down, obviously we dont live in a perfect world and prices will go up, but at least it means were doing something right with the economy. the world wont end if you have to pay 2 more dollars a gallon for gas, its not like you will your tank up everyday anyways!
This is really bad because of the economic crisis. Two things are hitting us hard at once. Soon people will not be able to afford gas.
