Is McCain Coming Back?

Amid the wall-to-wall coverage of Barack Obama's $150 million fundraising take in September and the endorsement of the Illinois senator on Sunday by former Secretary of State Colin Powell, the campaign of his Republican opponent, John McCain, believes the media is missing one critical thing: the Arizona senator is making up ground.McCain advisers insist that since last Wednesday's final debate in New York, their candidate has slowly but surely cut into Obama's edge, carving a double-digit lead down to the mid-single digits in both national polling and surveys conducted in key battleground states. While the final debate was widely cast by the media, and by a series of instant reaction polls, as a win for Obama, McCain's senior strategy team argues that it was, in fact, a critical turning point in their favor in the contest.

It is too late in the race for McCain to come back. Perhaps if he did something drastic to really excite the base of the Republican party to increase their turnout and support he might have a fighting chance. But at this point the issue of ethnicity doesn't matter anymore and Palin has frightened a large amount of the population. On the other hand election day still hasnt come yet so we still dont know what will happen for sure.

I think it is to late for McCanin. if he had done something more towards the way he use to act, then he may have had something going for him. In my opinion think that he may have had a better chance if he had never chosen Palin as his running mate.

Ok there are a lot of maybes still in this election. One, there are still major differences in the polls, with some putting the race much closer than you'd think if you only checked ABC or Yahoo. However, while Obama is leading in most polls, the question is whether it is by enough. In my opinion it is, but it never hurts to be cautious.
